A Ukrainian drone strike forced Russia's Orsknefteorgsintez refinery to stop processing after a fire damaged refining units, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing two industry sources.
The attack occurred Tuesday at the plant, about 1,900 kilometers from Ukraine, while Ukraine's military confirmed the strike, according to the report.
The refinery has an annual crude-processing capacity of 5.76 million metric tons, or about 115,200 barrels per day, and processed 4.2 million tons in 2024. Forteinvest did not immediately reply to' request for comment.
