Market Chatter: Trump Sued Over Plan to Sell Early Access to Truth Social Posts

President Donald Trump was sued by The Intercept and the Freedom of the Press Foundation over Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT)'s plan to charge as much as $100,000 per month for early access to his social media posts, The Intercept reported Wednesday.

The suit, filed in the Southern District of New York, claimed that the initiative, dubbed Truth API, would violate the First Amendment rights of journalists and the public to equal access to official information, the report said.

"A president selling priority access to news he himself generates for the benefit of a private company he controls is so blatantly corrupt and unconstitutional that it would have been hard to even fathom just a few years ago," the Freedom of the Press Foundation said in a statement. "This brazen grift targets not only the markets but the First Amendment."

The White House and Trump Media & Technology Group did not immediately respond to requests for comment by.

ERock Q2 Revenue Falls; 2026 Guidance Set

ERock (EROC), which completed its initial public offering in June, reported Q2 net loss late Tuesday of $0.06 per diluted share.
