Toyota Motor's (TM) decision to move production of its Tacoma pickup truck from Mexico to Texas has raised concerns that more automakers could shift production out of Mexico amid growing uncertainty over US-Mexico trade ties, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing two people familiar with the matter.
Automakers with operations in Mexico are reviewing contingency production plans, trimming output and reassessing long-term plant expansion agreements, according to the report.
Toyota Motor did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
