TotalEnergies (TTE) must spell out the climate risks tied to emissions from its oil and gas products and detail how it plans to address them, the Paris Judicial Court ruled Thursday, Reuters reported, citing a summary of the decision.
The company is required to present a plan under a vigilance law to the court for review in six months, the report said.
The court did not mandate specific operational changes or set binding emissions-reduction targets, the report said.
