The Tokyo Stock Exchange is on track to record its highest number of delistings for the third straight year, with 128 companies confirmed to exit the bourse so far this year, Nikkei Asia reported Monday, citing its own analysis.

About 28 of those firms have opted to go private or simplify their shareholder structures, while 29 are under supervision and face potential delisting, the report said.
