Thailand's True Internet Data Center is pursuing about $2 billion in financing to develop a new data center on the outskirts of Bangkok, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The proposed five-year loan would be structured in three tranches, with roughly $1.8 billion in US dollars and the remainder in Thai baht, the news wire said.
Negotiations with lenders remain preliminary, and terms could shift as discussions progress, the publication said.
True IDC, a subsidiary of Ascend Group, did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
