Gulf Development plans to invest up to 140 billion baht over the next five years to expand data centers and digital infrastructure to meet growing demand for artificial intelligence and cloud computing, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing Chief Financial Officer Yupapin Wangviwat.
Thailand's largest power producer aims to add up to 2,000 megawatts of data center capacity during the period, according to the report.
The company and its partners currently operate facilities with a combined capacity of about 200 megawatts, Bloomberg added.
