Thailand's Constitutional Court is reviewing the government's 400 billion baht borrowing plan to prop up the economy.
The court is examining whether the decree issued by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's administration qualifies as an emergency measure after a petition from opposition lawmakers, Reuters reported Tuesday. A ruling is expected by July 16.
The plan, approved in May, funds consumer subsidies and a longer-term shift to clean energy to cut reliance on imported fuel and ease household costs, according to the report.
