Liquefied natural gas tankers have been observed at the Das Island export facility in the UAE, indicating that Abu Dhabi National Oil is continuing to load the fuel in the Persian Gulf despite renewed hostilities in the Strait of Hormuz, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing satellite images.

One vessel was reportedly docked at the terminal on Sept. 2 and at least one tanker was nearby, although they were not broadcasting their positions.

Adnoc-linked tankers usually turn off their transponders when transiting the strait and when inside the Gulf to avoid detection. They transmit signals again after safely crossing the waterway, according to ship-tracking data examined by the news agency.

Adnoc did not immediately respond to' request for comment.

The data analytics platform said that 119 vessels are waiting to transit through the Strait of Hormuz.Meanwhile, the UKMTO said there were no confirmed attacks or disruptions in the southern Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb during the period.Commercial traffic remained below normal levels, consistent with the pattern established after the July 20 Houthi declaration of a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia and earlier confirmed attacks on vessels in the region.Elsewhere, the Persian Gulf Strait Authority updated its list of non-compliant vessels, adding a further 11 ships to its blacklist on Thursday. The agency barred the vessels from transiting through the Hormuz for "non-compliance."PGSA, the authority set up by Iran to manage the strait, now prohibits 56 vessels from transiting the strategic waterway.
