Takeda (TYO:4502) aims to include its dengue shot in India's state immunization program after local regulators approved it, Nikkei Asia reported Wednesday, citing head of intercontinental markets Mahender Nayak.
The newly approved shot, Qdenga, works against the mosquito-borne illness and covers all four viral strains, the news daily said.
Nayak said Takeda's strategic focus is on securing national program status to maximize public access, the publication said.
