The proposal will be adjusted based on the review before being sent to the Cabinet for approval by July, with construction targeted for late 2029, the report quoted

Hsinchu Science Park Bureau director Hu Shih-min as saying.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) (TPE:2330) is evaluating the site for a potential advanced fab or next-generation packaging facility, Hu reportedly said.

The government also plans upgrades to water, power, and infrastructure at the science park, Hu was quoted as saying.
