Switch, a data center operator, has hired Goldman Sachs (GS) and JPMorgan Chase (JPM) as lead underwriters for an initial public offering that could raise up to $10 billion as soon as Q4, valuing the company at roughly $80 billion, including debt, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing two people familiar with the matter.
The size, timing and valuation are still under discussion and could still change, the people reportedly said.
Switch has also held talks with private investors to raise capital at a valuation of at least $40 billion before the IPO, the report said, citing a third source.
Switch, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan did not immediately respond to requests for comment from.
