Stellantis is exploring a long-term industrial partnership with Huawei and automaker JAC Group for its struggling luxury brand Maserati, Reuters reported, citing two people familiar with the matter.
The discussions center on using Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility platform for Maserati, with the partners targeting production of their first jointly developed vehicle by the end of 2027, the report said.
The potential deal could also involve dual branding, with the vehicle sold under JAC's Maextro luxury brand in China and the Maserati name in international markets, according to the report.
Stellantis, Huawei, and JAC did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
