Spain is considering financial support for its domestic solar industry as oversupply and negative wholesale electricity prices continue to pressure generators, Bloomberg reported Friday.
The government is reportedly reviewing sector conditions after being approached by private industry groups, though no decision has been taken and officials could still opt against intervention.
The sector has been under strain since last year due to rapid capacity growth and price volatility, with weak grid and storage conditions leading to curtailment and negative prices.
