South Korean investment plans in the US under a trade deal with Washington are delayed, while procedural issues were clarified, Reuters reported Thursday, quoting South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun.
The Korean minister's remarks came ahead of his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, slated for Friday, and this follows the Korean government's postponement of a planned briefing to a parliamentary committee on the investment plans to Sept. 22, the report said.
Under the US trade deal, South Korea agreed to invest $350 billion in US manufacturing and US cap the tariffs on Korean imports at 15%.
