Sojitz (TYO:2768), through its joint venture Japan Vietnam Livestock (JVL), is looking to boost its beef production in Vietnam, Nikkei Asia reported Friday.
The trading house plans to use its cattle hygiene control and processing technologies from Japan to increase beef output, the report said.
JVL will also add a second deboning and butchering line and import live cattle to support the planned expansion, Nikkei reported.
