SoftBank (TYO:9434) is in talks with investment banks over a potential $10 billion to $20 billion bond offering to refinance a loan tied to its investment in US-based OpenAI, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The offering, planned as early as September, can be denominated in dollars and euros, and part of the proceeds from the sale is expected to be used to repay a $40 billion bridge loan secured earlier this year for its OpenAI investment.
SoftBank did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
