SoftBank Group (TYO:9984) is mulling a 1 trillion yen retail bond offering in Japan, which would set a national record for the largest such issuance, Nikkei Asia reported on Wednesday.
The offering marks the tech conglomerate's third retail debt sale this year, following issuances in April and June. The seven-year notes are expected to carry an interest rate in the upper 4% range, according to the report.
If finalized, the transaction will eclipse the group's previous record retail issuance of 600 billion yen set in 2025.
SoftBank Group did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
