SoftBank Group (TYO:9984) has attracted more than $20 billion in early, non-binding investor interest for its junk bond issuance to help fund the firm's OpenAI investments, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The demand serves as an initial gauge ahead of pricing expected Thursday, the news wire said.

SoftBank was seeking to raise over $11 billion, including a $10 billion portion and a 1 billion euro portion, with no cap on the deal size and no final decisions made yet, the publication said.

SoftBank did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
