SK hynix (KRX:000660) and its union are holding a fifth round of bonus negotiations on Tuesday at the company's Cheongju plant, Reuters News reported on the same day, citing a union note.
The dispute centers on the company's bonus structure, with last year's agreement entitling workers to 10% of annual operating profit, potentially averaging 779 million won per employee this year, the news wire said.
Management has proposed paying over half of bonuses in shares with a lock-up period and adjusting payouts during loss-making years, the publication said.
SK hynix did not respond to' request for comment, while the union could not immediately be reached for comment.
