Shein has begun pre-deal investor meetings for a planned Hong Kong initial public offering targeting a valuation of $30 billion to $40 billion, Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing three people familiar with the matter.
The online fast-fashion retailer could launch the share sale as early as mid-August, although the valuation target and timetable remain subject to change based on investor feedback, the report said.
The target would mark a sharp reduction from Shein's peak valuation of $98.2 billion in 2022 and its $64 billion valuation in private fundraising rounds in 2023 and 2024, Reuters noted.
Some prospective cornerstone investors are reportedly seeking a valuation closer to $30 billion to $32 billion.
Shein did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
