Russia's gasoline production will only cover 65% of seasonal demand as Ukrainian strikes disrupt operations at major oil refineries, including the Norsi, Omsk, and Saratov facilities, Reuters reported Friday, citing sources.
Gasoline output declined at a time when summer driving demand was peaking, exacerbating supply crunch by around 35%, or 40,000 to 45,000 metric tons per day, the report said.
On a daily basis, Russia reportedly consumes around 115,000 to 120,000 mt of gasoline at the height of summer. In June, the country's gasoline shortfall averaged 25%, according to the news agency.
The Russian energy ministry did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
