Russia has extended a temporary ban on exports of diesel fuel, marine fuel and gasoil to include petroleum product producers, Tass reported on Wednesday, as Moscow seeks to maintain stability in the domestic fuel market.
Russia's Cabinet said the restrictions will not apply to diesel exports carried out under international intergovernmental agreements. Moscow first introduced a temporary ban on diesel exports in late January 2026, initially targeting only non-producing companies. The extended export ban will remain in place until July 31.
The government said the decision was aimed at ensuring sufficient fuel supplies and preventing disruptions in the domestic market.
Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not immediately respond to' request for a comment on this story.
