Rusal (HKG:0486), Russia's largest aluminum producer, is exploring a potential sale of its operations in Jamaica and Guyana, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company has begun sounding out potential buyers for the Windalco alumina complex in Jamaica and its bauxite operations in Guyana, according to the report.

The discussions are at an early stage, and there is no certainty that either asset will ultimately be sold, the report added.

Rusal did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
