Market Chatter: PepsiCo to Raise Prices on Some Chips, Dips, Soda

By

PepsiCo (PEP) plans to increase prices on some of its chips, soda and dips, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the strategy.

Prices on grocery-store-sized bags of chips including Doritos and Ruffles, which were cut earlier this year, are expected to rise at the end of this year or in early 2027, the report said.

Certain chips prices will increase by a low- to mid-single-digit percentage, in line with inflation, and remain below pre-cut levels, a PepsiCo spokesperson said, according to the report.

PepsiCo is also raising prices this week on some dips, including extra-large and extra-extra-large jars of Tostitos salsa and Fritos canned dips, the report said, citing a memo.

The company is also expected to boost prices on some sodas and has notified retailers of upcoming increases, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.

PepsiCo didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by.
