Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI has agreed to acquire Ona, a startup providing cloud services for AI agents, as part of its efforts to strengthen enterprise-focused tools, Bloomberg reported Thursday.
The deal, which has not yet closed, will bring Ona's team into OpenAI's Codex initiative, the company said, adding that more than 5 million people now use its Codex AI coding tools each week, according to the report.
Microsoft shares were down over 2% in Thursday trading.
OpenAI did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
