Market Chatter: Netflix, Other Media Companies Eye Letterboxd Sale

Netflix (NFLX) is in early talks to acquire film-focused social platform Letterboxd, which has been exploring a sale, Variety reported Friday, citing an earlier Puck report.

The report said other potential suitors include Sony (SONY) Pictures Entertainment, Paramount Skydance (PSKY), private equity firm TPG (TPG) and Reddit (RDDT) co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

Letterboxd, which has more than 30 million members worldwide, is reportedly being marketed at a valuation of about $250 million.

Netflix, Paramount Skydance, Sony, TPG and Reddit did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
