MS&AD Insurance (TYO:8725) plans to expand into the European reinsurance brokerage market to accelerate international growth, Nikkei Asia reported Monday, citing U.S. unit CEO John Fitzgerald in a recent interview.

The expansion will leverage MS Transverse, a fronting carrier that connects specialized Managing General Agents and primary underwriters directly with global risk reinsurers, the publication reported.

The expansion reflects the Japan's insurer strategic push beyond domestic markets through reinsurance services, the report said.
