EU regulators are preparing to raise competition concerns over MMG's (HKG:1208) planned acquisition of Anglo American's Brazilian nickel business, Reuters reported, citing three people familiar with the matter.
The European Commission is expected to state objections this month, outlining the issues MMG would need to address for the deal to proceed, according to the report.
MMG could avoid the formal charge sheet by offering remedies, although this is considered unlikely, the report said.
European Commission and MMG did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
