Mitsubishi Estate (TYO:8802) will invest 1.5 trillion yen into data hub construction, targeting 2,500 megawatts of total capacity to ride the AI boom, Nikkei Asia reported on Saturday, citing president Atsushi Nakajima.

With land and power locked in for roughly 1,000 megawatts across five sites near Tokyo and Osaka, the firm will offer both custom and multi-tenant spaces, the publication said.
