Midea (SHE:000333, HKG:0300) completed an emergency order for 20,000 portable air conditioners from a customer in France due to a prolonged heatwave across Europe, The Standard reported, citing mainland Chinese media reports.
Delivery is expected to take about 15 days, roughly half the time required by sea freight, the report said.
The company reportedly added production capacity to fulfill the French order despite its factories already operating at full capacity during the domestic peak season.
Midea did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
