Midea Group Co (SHE:000333) is considering listing its German robotics subsidiary Kuka on China's mainland, most likely in Shenzhen, as early as 2027, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.
Though talks remain preliminary and may not lead to a deal, the industrial robot maker, which supplies automakers like Volkswagen and Airbus, has also been considered for a Hong Kong listing, the news wire said.
While preparatory work is ongoing, Midea declined to comment beyond stating that official announcements would follow regulatory requirements, and Kuka referred questions to its parent company, the publication said.
Midea and Kuka didn't immediately respond to MT Newswire's request for comment.
