Market Chatter: Meta in Talks to Lease Computing Power to Anthropic

Meta Platforms (META) is in talks to rent out computing power from its data centers to Anthropic in a deal that could be worth up to $10 billion over two years, The New York Times reported Friday, citing people with knowledge of the discussions.

Anthropic proposed the deal in June, and it is under consideration by Meta, the people reportedly said. Under the current terms of the proposal, which could change, Anthropic would pay Meta in monthly installments over the two-year period, the report said, citing the people.

Meta and Anthropic didn't immediately reply to requests for comment from.
