BIMB Securities Research is holding its forecast of total industry volume (TIV) for the automotive industry in Malaysia steady at 740,000 units, The Star reported Thursday.
TIV is expected to stabilize in the third quarter, followed by a stronger momentum in the fourth quarter, a BIMB Securities Research report showed.
To achieve the forecast, total industry volume will have to reach around 61,000 units per month starting May and ending in December, according to the report.
Additionally, EVs are anticipated to make up around 8% to 10% of total industry volume this year, The Star said.
