The combined information security investment by three of South Korea's biggest telecom companies grew 22% year over year in 2025 to 367.5 billion won, according to a Korea Times report quoting data from the Korea Internet & Security Agency.
The investments from SK Telecom (KRX:017670), KT (KRX:030200) and LG Uplus (KRX:032640), which outpaced the overall IT investment growth rate of 4%, were followed by data breaches in 2025, the Monday report added.
