Macquarie Asset Management is in advanced talks to acquire energy infrastructure services provider SI Solutions from private equity firm MidOcean Partners for about $600 million, including debt, Bloomberg reported on Thursday.
Macquarie and co-investors, including Australian pension fund UniSuper, could reportedly announce a deal as soon as Thursday, although the talks could still fall apart.
North Carolina-based SI Solutions provides inspection, engineering and safety services to utilities, power producers and pipeline operators. Energy infrastructure firms have attracted investors as AI-driven power demand surges.
Macquarie, SI Solutions, MidOcean Partners, and UniSuper did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
