KPMG Australia appointed its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, John Sams, as its new Chief Executive effective immediately, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
The firm's former CEO and Chairman were among the leadership who resigned in the wake of a scandal involving the misuse of confidential client information, including the sharing of Optus and Lendlease (ASX:LLC) data among staff bidding for audit work with other firms. Lendlease said it would no longer work with KPMG as its auditor.
