Kirin (TYO:2503) is open to further acquisitions following its C$2 billion purchase of Jamieson Wellness, viewing North America as a key growth market, Bloomberg News reported on Friday, citing President Takeshi Minakata.
Minakata said the company plans to leverage Jamieson's distribution, brand, and customer base as a platform for expansion, potentially through additional M&A, the news wire said.
The deal, part of Kirin's push to build wellness into a third core business alongside beverages and pharmaceuticals, follows its previous acquisitions of Blackmores and FANCL, the publication said.
