JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and Bank of America (BAC) were among a group of America's largest banks to receive subpoenas from the Justice Department seeking information over whether they "debanked" clients for political reasons, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The subpoenas are related to an effort by President Donald Trump to find out whether banks allegedly discriminated against conservatives, the report said.
The banks didn't immediately reply to requests for comment from.
