India's largest video streaming platform, JioHotstar, is expanding internationally for the first time, launching in the UK, Canada, and Singapore, with an eye on the growing South Asian diaspora in those markets, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday.
The platform is operated by JioStar, a media joint venture between Walt Disney and Reliance Industries (BOM:500325, NSE:RELIANCE).
It will offer more than 160,000 hours of content across over 12 languages, including English, Hindi and Gujarati, according to the report.
