JetBlue Airways (JBLU) will shut down its flight attendant base at Newark Liberty International Airport and tech- operations bases at Newark and New York's LaGuardia Airport in autumn to cuts costs and bolster service in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, CNBC reported Wednesday, citing a statement from the airline

No employees will lose their jobs, though they may bid or transfer to other bases, the report said.

JetBlue said in a separate statement it's expanding premium service from Fort Lauderdale to San Diego, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

JetBlue did not immediately respond to a request for comment by.
