Jefferies Financial (JEF) evacuated its Manhattan offices after a fire broke out at the Papillon restaurant, prompting the bank to temporarily close its headquarters, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing a person familiar with the situation.
More than 200 people were evacuated from the building, while no Jefferies employees were harmed, according to the report.
Jefferies Financial did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
