Japan plans to focus its investments in the power sector in the United States under the US-Japan tariff agreement, Nikkei Asia reported Sept. 12, citing an interaction with Japanese Trade Minister Ryosei Akazawa.
The Japanese minister said next-generation nuclear power projects in the US, including small modular reactors, could be considered investment options.
The minister, however, declined to specify when the third round of investment projects would be finalized.
