Market Chatter: IndiGo in Talks With Embraer for Potential E2 Jet Order

By

InterGlobe Aviation (BOM:539448), parent of India's largest airline IndiGo, is in talks with Brazil's Embraer over a potential order for dozens of E2 regional jets, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

IndiGo is weighing aircraft to replace its ATR turboprop fleet and expand capacity, though discussions are in early stages and may not result in a deal, according to the report.

The potential order could be worth billions of dollars before customary industry discounts and would be Embraer's largest deal in India if completed, Bloomberg said.

Embraer declined to comment on' request for comment, while IndiGo did not immediately respond.
