Bharat Petroleum Corporation has scheduled maintenance work in November that will temporarily idle a 120,000-barrel-per-day crude unit and some secondary units at its Mumbai refinery, Reuters reported Monday, citing an industry source.
A maintenance shutdown was originally planned for April at BPCL's 200,000-b/d Mumbai refinery.
An industry source had earlier said the maintenance shutdown would last three to four weeks and take place during September-October.
To keep pace with domestic fuel consumption, Indian refiners have delayed planned refinery maintenance in recent months, a government official said previously, according to the report.
Bharat Petroleum didn't immediately respond to' request for comment.
