HSBC (HKG:0005) will no longer offer its school-fee subsidy to new local hires and employees transferred to Hong Kong, Financial Times reported on Thursday, citing a staff memo.
The benefit, which covers up to HK$300,000 per year for children's school fees, will remain available to existing director-level and above employees who currently receive it, as well as employees with a child born in 2026, the report said citing a person familiar with the change.
HSBC did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
