Hanwha (KRX:000880) secured the South Korean Fair Trade Commission's approval for the acquisition of additional stakes in Korea Aerospace Industries (KRX:047810), The Korean Times reported Monday.

The Trade Commission approved the acquisition of a 3.45% additional stake in KAI, increasing Hanwha's combined holding in the company to 15.89%, including a 9.9% stake held by Hanwha Aerospace.

The commission said the expanded stake will not pose substantial influence over KAI's overall management, the report added.
