Hanwha Aerospace (KRX:012450) chief executive Son Jae-il has been barred from traveling abroad amid an investigation into the explosion at the defense firm's plant last week, Reuters reported Monday, citing Yonhap News.
The explosion and fire left five workers dead and two injured.
Meanwhile, the Daejeon Regional Employment and Labor Office booked the chief executive over suspected violations of South Korea's Serious Accidents Punishment Act, ChosunBiz reported.
Hanwha Aerospace previously suspended production at nine facilities on June 4 and June 5 to conduct safety inspections and employee training following the incident, according to Reuters.
