Market Chatter: Former SK Hynix Employee Sentenced to 18 Months For Leak of Chip Technology

The Seoul High Court upheld a lower court ruling, sentencing a former employee of SK Hynix (KRX:000660) to 18 months in prison for leaking confidential CMOS image sensor manufacturing technology, Yonhap News reported Sunday.

The employee was found to have leaked the info to a Chinese firm while working at the company's local subsidiary in China in 2022, the report said.

SK Hynix did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
