Fanuc (TYO:6954) and Google have developed an AI-powered robotic welding system that can operate directly from scanned blueprints, Nikkei Asia reported Thursday.
Set for a December release, the system uses Google's Gemini Enterprise AI platform and is designed to be accessible to small and midsize businesses, the news agency said.
Fanuc plans to offer it on a subscription basis across industries such as electrical components and furniture, as part of its broader physical AI push with Google and Nvidia, the publication said.
Fanuc and Google did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
